OUR CHURCH PURPOSE
Our Church Purposes
Our purpose is based on two great passages that the Lord Jesus spoke.
THE GREAT COMMANDMENT:
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Matthew 22:37-39
THE GREAT COMMISSION:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:”
Matthew 28:129, 20
OUR CHURCH AND IT'S DISTINCTIVE
BIBLE AUTHORITY
The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16 – 17
AUTONOMY OF THE LOCAL CHURCH
Each local church is sovereign under the headship of Christ.
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1 Timothy 3:15
PRIESTHOOD OF THE BELIEVER
Every born-again believer may pray directly to the Father through Christ
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:5-6
TWO ORDINANCES
Believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper which is a memorial.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:41-42
INDIVIDUAL SOUL LIBERTY
Every person has the right to interpret the Scriptures and to believe as he understands the Scripture, recognizing that he will one day give an account to Christ.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
1 John 2:27
SAVED CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
Membership of a local church consist of those who have openly confessed Jesus Christ as their Savior, have been baptized by immersion, have demonstrated a willingness to obey Scripture and have agreed to the doctrine and standards of the local church.
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 2: 47
TWO OFFICES (Pastor and Deacon)
1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
Philippians 1:1
SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE
The believer should respect and obey civil authority so long as it does not cause violation to conscience or Scriptural convictions. There should be no organic union of church and state; but the state should protect, not dominate nor interfere with the affairs of the church. Individual believers may be active participants in influencing civil government.
21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
(Matthew 22:21)
OUR CHURCH AND IT'S DISTINCTIVE
1. We believe every word of the Bible is inspired of God and that the Bible is without error. It is our only rule for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
2. We believe God has inspired and preserved His Word only in the King James Version . (2 Tim. 3:16; Ps. 12:7)
3. We believe the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of Salvation and God’s plan and purpose in the ages. (Gen. 1:1; Gen.3, John 14:6)
4. We believe in One God revealed in three distinct persons. The Father, The Word (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Ghost. Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 1:17; James 1:17; 1 John 4:4; Psalm 2:7-9; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 43:11; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:25; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1, 1:3, 14, 18, 29; Romans 3:19-25; Romans 5:6-15; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:10-15; Hebrews 7:26, 9:24-28; 1 Peter 1:19, 2:2; 1 John 1:3; Revelation 20:1-6; Genesis 1:2; John 3:5-6; John 14:16; Acts 1:5; Acts 11:15; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
6. We believe that salvation is by grace plus and minus nothing. The blood atonement of Jesus Christ is necessary for the forgiveness of sin. The condition to receive this free gift of salvation are repentance and faith.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 1:7; For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
7. We believe in the local church and its independence under the headship of Christ.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18
